Important Information: Dear Parents:
We have been very busy over the past several weeks sprucing up the campuses and are ready for your return on August 17, 2009. We have much to celebrate and we are thrilled to be entering a second decade of service and success to North County.
With the resurgence of press on the H1N1 (Swine Flu) virus, we wanted to be clear on our expectations for you and your family. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new information this week on their predictions that we will see a spike in the number of cases this fall.
With this in mind, please keep your student home if they do not feel well, have a cold, fever, or are experiencing flu-like symptoms. This is not a new warning from our school, but rather a reminder that we all play a part in the health of the school and our community of learners.
The Classical Academies offer independent study and there are no excused absences in an independent study program. Excused and unexcused absences do not apply because students may do their work at any time or day of the week. Your student’s presence is not the basis for attendance credit. Student Average Daily Attendance (ADA) is based on academic outcomes rather than time “in seat”.
